Ingredients
200 grams of paneer, some chaat masala to sprinkle (Serves 4)
For Filling:
½ tsp ajwain (carom seeds) 1 small onion – grated and squeezed well 1” ginger piece- grated and crushed to paste 3-4 flakes garlic- crushed ½ tsp red chilli powder , ½ tsp of garam masala ½ tsp salt, 1 tsp dhaniya powder, 1 tsp of amchoor powder
Batter:
1 cup – Besan 1/3 cup water – approx..(batter should not be very thin) 2 pinches baking powder ¾ tsp each red chilli powder and salt or to taste 2 tsbp chopped coriander
Cooking Instructions
Method: -Cut paneer in 1 ½ “ Squares which are slightly thicker -Slit the pieces of paneer, a little more than halfway but not till the end -Sprinkle some chaat masala on them both the sides -To prepare the filling, mix all the ingredients of the filling together -With the help of knife insert some filling in the paneer pieces and press well -Make a thick batter with all the ingredients. Beat well and keep aside for 10 min. -Dip the stuffed paneer pieces in the batter and deep fry in hot oil till golden -Serve hot sprinkled with chaat masala
